Connecting Through Time: Introducing Timebanking at Lighthorne Village Hall

Lighthorne Village Hall is now your local hub of connection and community spirit with the introduction of Timebanking sessions every Wednesday. From 11am to 1pm, locals are invited to join us for a delightful spread of cake, coffee, and, most importantly, the opportunity to strengthen our community bonds.

What is Timebanking?
For those unfamiliar, Timebanking is a unique system that transcends traditional forms of currency. At its heart, it's about recognising that everyone has something valuable to offer, whether it's a skill, a service, or simply their time. Through Timebanking, members can both give and receive assistance, fostering a sense of reciprocity and solidarity within the community.

Who Can Join?
The beauty of Timebanking lies in its inclusivity. Whether you're young or old, employed or not, everyone is welcome to participate. It's about recognising the inherent worth of each individual and creating opportunities for meaningful exchange. Additionally, organisations within Stratford District that offer volunteering opportunities are encouraged to reach out and explore the benefits of becoming organisational members.

How Does It Work?
The concept is simple: for every hour you spend helping someone else, you earn one Time Credit. These credits can then be "spent" when you need assistance from another member. It's a wonderful way to foster a sense of community, share skills, and strengthen the bonds that tie us together.

Get Involved!
If you're intrigued by the idea of Timebanking or if your organization could benefit from becoming an organizational member, don't hesitate to reach out to our dedicated Timebroker at 07419373680. We're excited to welcome you to our weekly gatherings at Lighthorne Village Hall, where we'll share more than just cake and coffee – we'll share the spirit of community.

Join Us:
So mark your calendars and spread the word – every Wednesday, come join us at Lighthorne Village Hall for a warm cup of coffee, delicious cake, and the chance to connect with your neighbour's through the power of Timebanking. Together, let's build a stronger, more vibrant community, one hour at a time.
